Meet Dusty, a Texas dog enjoying his first winter in Vermont.Dusty is not one to smile, but I have caught a grin since he traded hot Texas for cold Vermont. He has adapted well, although, the past two winters have been so frigid that I dress him like a kid before he heads out. His fur tends to stick to the snow, so we boot him and then track the missing boot—often. Just like kid with mittens. I tried tying the boots on with a harness made of nylon stockings, but that's a whole 'nother story!
