Corumbá Jump
This image was made in Salto Corumbá, which is a waterfall 70 meters high located 116 km from Brasília, Federal Capital of Brazil.
When I arrived at the place to take pictures of this waterfall I saw that there were several tourists swimming in the small lake that forms underneath it. At first I thought this would mess me up but then I realized that I could try using people to give sense of scale to the image.
I waited for the moment when some of them stood idly to register this unique moment.
This looks like a magical place and it works perfectly in a vertical composition, especially with the three tiny figures in the foreground to lend a sense of scale.
