While vacationing with my family there was a potential for a kp 5 level Aurora Borealis. We were camping on Cape Breton Island in Nova Scotia, Canada. After the camp fire went out we hiked down to the lake. While standing on the dock with my family and listening to the fish jumping and watching the lightning bugs flying around I noticed a light starting to show on the Northern horizon. I started taking photos and the camera could see the brilliant colors of the Aurora! A magical moment!
