Each Others' View
While driving in Torres del Paine National Park in Chile, a quick break for lunch led me to discover these two Caracaras sitting together on the same branch. I imagined them to be reveling in the scenery, as was I.
When I saw them, my heart nearly stopped - I couldn't believe my good luck! I returned to my vehicle to get my camera as quickly as I could, hoping that they would still be there when I returned. Thankfully, I was able to get a few frames of these beautiful birds before they flew.
This fits the brief - animals set in their landscape. I think you have done a great job with the composition - the caracaras are looking into the frame from the left and you have skilfully used the pattern of the branches and leaves over the background of the mountain. Evocative stuff - well done
