Fiesta Day in Andalucia
Down the road, I spot a tipsy procession of Spaniards dolled up like they’ve just been released from a flamenco funny farm—hair pulled back tight, long gowns brimming with ruffles and polka dots—making its way toward what seems to be a makeshift carnival in the distance, complete with a Ferris wheel, a carousel, and more flashing lights and colors than I knew existed. The whole scene looks like a clown threw up on it. As far as I can tell, we’ve arrived just in time for the village’s feria.
