we watched a young hyena take down a wildebeest in a stream inside Ngorongoro crater, under the watch of an older hyena. When the wildebeest finally went down, one of the young ladies riding with us (perhaps out of nervousness, perhaps out of humour) said 'Should we get the barbeque out?' I don't think the hyena would have shared his dinner easily.
