Govinda - The Human Pyramid
The Human Pyramid is staged during the festival of Janmashtami which is celebrated as Lord Krishna's birthday. According to Mythology, Krishna's mother Yashoda would hang the curd / butter at a height to prevent Krishna from eating the same. Little Krishna would steal this by making a human pyramid along with friends. This tradition is upheld even today & is unique to Maharashtra, more popular in Mumbai & Thane. In many places, there is a prize money for the team that forms the tallest pyramid.
