Standing only a few feet away from this screech owl (and two more), the sleepiness it exhibited dominated over fear. Not sure why. Perhaps they had been observing me and my family for quite some time and we gave them no reason to fear us. This is the second shot and is one of three photos being submitted to Eye Spy of the screech owls that were in my yard. Wild, they seemed to enjoy the attention they were being given during this "photo shoot'.
