    Reported by:

Native to the Indian Subcontinent the Painted Stork has a range that extends deep into Southeast Asia. It is primarily found in the wetlands and grassy plains (which are found in these regions), and it is also not a "migratory bird". It is a "medium-sized" member of the Stork Family, standing over 100cm tall, and weighing in at around 3.5 kilograms. Its wingspan is between 150 and 160 cm in length and it is a carnivorous bird (with its diet primarily consisting of freshwater fish/crustaceans).
