The Barren Rocky Mountains in Ladakh. The rough mountain terrains and landscapes separate Ladakh from the rest of India and is no less than a foreign land for Indians and foreigners alike. But besides the distance and remoteness, it is its cultural rift that makes Ladakh a unique destination. This picture was taken at the Diskit monastery. As I stood there, I mentally framed my shot with all the elements I like to see in a picture, and the shot turned exactly the way I planned it to be.
