Road to Waldorf
This is a four-wheel-drive road on the north side of Guanella Pass in Colorado. It leads to an old mining town called Waldorf. Guanella Pass is filled with people on fall color trips, but this road is not for the average road-side shutterbug - it is rocky, rough, rutted, washed out, full of sharp turns and fallen trees. It was rather late in the afternoon, but the sun was just hitting the aspens before the road disappeared to higher elevations.
