Every late spring I head to the Roan Mountain area to witness the blooming of one of the largest natural Rhododendron gardens in the world. The views are amazing and this is such a special place. This photo was taken from the top of Grassy Ridge looking towards the mountains of North Carolina. I blended three exposure to capture the full dynamic range of the scene.
