Every year goddess Durga is immersed on the last day of Durga Puja. Many people witness the amazing aura of the Durga Puja but what they miss is the whole year's hard work of these sculptors. I was filled with utmost respect for them after witnessing their devotion towards two things mainly. Faith in their ART as well as their goddess DURGA. On some level its the faith and dedication of artists at kalighat that thousand people get to worship and follow their beliefs every year.
