I met this group of students at the ruins of the baths at Carthage during one of my first weeks of a semester-long trip to Tunisia. They ran up to me, asked if they could practice speaking English with me, and if I could take a photo of them. Despite some westerners' views of the Muslim world, this is the Tunisia I fell in love with. Smiles, kindness, and welcoming words. And curious preteens not very different from their American peers.
