Walking under a ladder is a widely held superstition around the world for a few reasons. One is that it stems from the medieval era when it was believed that a ladder represented the Holy Trinity in Christian religion and therefore it meant that the person has sinned against the Holy Spirit, and that would never be forgiven. Its interesting how these superstitions hold even though many of us don't really know the history behind it.
