This is the original broadcast booth of WHBQ in Memphis where Dewey Phillips who was a famous local celebrity, was the first DJ in the world to play an Elvis record. His first recording was “That’s Alright” and Dewey played it all day long. It was a hit and the beginning of Elvis’s rise to international fame and the title King Of Rock and Roll.
