    The Big Buddha is a bronze statue of Sakyamuni Buddha located in Lantau Island, Hong Kong. It is a place of pilgrims and tourism. The 34-meter-tall statue was visible from the ferry that I was travelling to the Island. Buddha's right, raised hand is for removing the affliction, whereas His left, opened hand symbolizes generosity.
