As my son was waiting for a ride to his high school commencement ceremony with cap & gown in hand, he seemed to me to be not to be only waiting for his ride, but waiting for his future as well. This was my first glimpse of him as an adult. Of course the dog (wet, as usual) was willing to wait patiently for it as well!
