    Edit Photo Details Landfill Park
These images were taken at a landfill that was closed when it reached capacity and then converted into a park. There is a playground and a trail that winds up the huge hill of buried trash. I wish we did not have huge mountains of trash; but since we do, finding alternate uses for landfills that reach capacity seems like a clever and necessary innovation. It also creates an educational conversation with my kids – hopefully their generation has even better ideas for recycling/waste management.
