In the Jardim region of Mato Grosso do Sul, Brazil, I was standing on the edge of the giant limestone crater (doline) and saw this buff necked Ibis (Theristicus caudatus) flying towards me. As he reached me he let out a large pile of guano, his not so polite statement on how he felt about me and my camera. This doline, with its bright orange limestone walls is one of the largest in the world at 500 meters diameter and up to 137 m deep and is home to a variety of bird species.
