Inside Access to the Ocean
As we were exploring the island of Santorini, Greece, we got extremely lost. The island is a maze of buildings, especially in smaller villages such as Firostefani, Megalochori, and Imerovigli. Here, I stumbled across a staircase that seemed never-ending. Santorini beautifully blends public access with privacy, as I soon realized this staircase passes many private homes. The constant view, however, was that this staircase would give me direct, inside access to the ocean.
