Receding Glacier of Ortler Massief
This is a view of what is left of the once majestic glacier on top of Ortler range in Italy. Glaciers on the Italian alps have been melting at an accelerated pace due the effect of global warming. This is also the location where during the first world war Austrian and Italian armies were facing each other with the Swiss army sandwiched in between. The melting of the glacier is also revealing its stash of secrets which were accumulated over time.
