Peacock Mantis Shrimp
This is a Peacock Mantis Shrimp (Odontodactylus scyllarus) taken in Puerto Galera in the Philippines. The Mantis Shrimp is actually a very important predator sporting powerful claws that they use to attack and kill prey by spearing, stunning, or dismemberment. That said, I think they look as though they have jumped straight out of a cartoon with those amazing colours and huge googly eyes!
