A childhood missed
Child labour is banned in India. But often to supplement meagre incomes, impoverished families send their children to work in small establishments located in urban centres where labour laws are none existent. I noticed this young boy working as a waiter cum cleaner at a highway dhaba (inn). His faraway look left me wondering how the cards in life are dealt. Because he was serving a family with a kid of a similar age. A boy who was busy playing a game on a smartphone.
