I was extremely moved by the peaceful quiet and unexpected beauty of the site. The stories and history of these people who didn't give up on what they believed in made this place very special. I watched as family members came to clean a loved ones grave and pay their respect. The colours, patterns, flowers and plants surrounding the cemetery made me feel that the Timorese people wanted to celebrate the lives of these people.
