This Turkey Vulture surprised me as it rose from below riding a thermal 10 feet off of the gorge wall. By the time I had gotten it in view and a focus lock it was already about 20 feet out and turning away. No special effects here, I was just panning the camera trying to keep the bird in view. Technically it isn't great, but I like the effect of the panning on the background below.
