The Bara-lacha is a high mountain pass in Zanskar range, at an altitude of 4,890 connecting Lahaul district in Himachal Pradesh to Ladakh in Jammu and Kashmir, situated along the Leh–Manali Highway. The air there is very thin due to the lack of oxygen. But even there one can find human activity.
