During the Salmon and Steel-head run this Autumn I photographed this lovely bird as it decided to take it's chances hunting the edge of an old dam along the Milwaukee River. We have been slowly removing the dams along the Milwaukee River in order to increase the health of the river an enable the Salmon, Coho and Steel-head a greater chance of survival hopefully bringing them back to one of the loveliest rivers of Wisconsin. The Source of the Milwaukee river is Spring fed in the Northern Kettles
