The Sandhill Crane noticed the man waving his hand. The man was shooing a flying insect out of his car window, but the Sandhill may have thought the man was throwing the crane some food. The man saw the crane getting closer and hurried to roll up his window. When the crane realized the man wasn't going to give him anything, he joined his mate and their offspring, and the man went to class. These Cranes live on the College grounds. As far as I know, they have raised two chicks.
