    Hiking in northern countries can be very overwhelming. During the day, which is very short in the autumn and winter, you have beautiful scenery you want to hike in. And when you reach a place to camp you are wishing for a clear night to see the stars and possibly the northern lights. Then you stay up for hours or set an alarm every hour in hope to see them and the next day you want to do it all again. Exhausting, but very rewarding.

    There were a lot of aurora pictures entered into the Low Light assignment. What I love about this one is the hint of green in the sky and the figure with the headlamp on the beach.
