We live in suburbia, in the metroplex area of Dallas/Ft worth. Wall to wall houses up and down the street with fences in between. The closest small forest area or larger group of trees is probably 5 miles away. We've seen fox from time to time sunning in our backyard. I first saw him walking past the back fence and going back behind our shed. When he came out the other side and back around the front he encountered a stray cat. At that moment they were both a bit surprised and wary.
