"My coat is on wonky, my winker is frozen and my humans insist on rolling around in the snow". Dusty is a Texas dog living his golden years in Vermont. I take cue from him often; e.g. napping with shameless snoring and rolling in the grass...And, in winter, also ensure he's not frozen to the ground. Winter is serious business, but is doable and enjoyable with a little common sense and coats that seal up with some sense of order.
