A couple releases their lantern into the night sky at the Lantern Fest on Aug. 29, 2015 in Pacific Junction, Iowa. People were encouraged to write on their lanterns hopes for the future or burdens they want to let go.

    Story 1

There were a lot of lantern festival images in the low light assignment. I chose this one because of the look on the couple's faces and all the lanterns filling the sky. There is so much joy and hope in this image.
