The trail to Rainbow Bridge follows a dusty creek bed up from one of Lake Powell's many narrow, winding side canyons. Not visible in this photo, but evident throughout the mile long hike, is the bleached bathtub ring indicating the high water mark. This stark reminder that the lake's shores once nearly reached this natural monument remind one of just how far the water level has receded
