Edit Photo Details Watching. First Snowfall   #winter #great #owl #grey
Started to snow heavily and I had just about given up shooting for the day when a very large Great Grey Owl swooped through the clearing behind me - and my camera was back in the blind. I quickly returned to the area with low expectations. After only a few moments, he returned to a 12 foot stump but was intensely focused on something higher in a tree nearby. After I shot several minutes he launched and was immediately dive bombed by another great grey. Didn't get that shot - happy all the same.
