My first sighting of an elusive Varied Thrush this fall. After seeing that my water-beaded friend was not moving from her perch for 5 minutes, I knew I had to get a shot of her from the other side of the glass. I'm about 12-15 feet away, and this is the closest I've ever gotten to a female Varied Thrush. They do like to show up on rainy days, which makes photography a challenge. :)
