    The phases of a sunset intrigue me. When the sun initially strides across the western sky, the clouds blaze brilliant silver and the sky is an intense kind of blue. But when it settles in for the night, it calms down to dark, murky, murderous colors that end the day. The contrail seems to add the punctuation.
