Goethe's Garden
A view taken from the famous poet and father of biology, Johann Wolfgang von Goethe's (1749-1832), garden outside his house in Weimar, Germany. This is where he not only wrote his most acknowledged work, "Faust," but also where he conducted many of his experiments in botany. The purple asters are said to be the same plants he used in his experiments at that time.
