German Christmas markets are more than just a place for holiday treats and seasonal beverages. They also showcase incredible, large-scale holiday decor. In the shadows of this moving scene with multiple levels of holiday characters is the Parish Church of St. Dionysius, which was built between 1220 and about 1315. Its stained glass windows are among the most important and most beautiful medieval stained-glass windows in Germany.
