Autumn in the Adirondacks provides landscapes with spectacular color. I didn't realize when I snapped this shot that the ripples would affect the reflection of the trees in their Fall turnout. As I reflect back, this day was the catalyst for the purchase of our own canoe. We have yet to return to this spot, but we will, in hopes of experiencing the splendor again - peaceful, solitary, and close to nature.
