12/27/15: Alone, I was the first to arrive at the Mayflower Gulch trailhead. Close to 9am and 5 degrees outside, this was my first attempt at winter photography. The initial stage was more about learning to manage the elements: keeping my hands/fingers warm enough, yet free to manipulate my camera; coping with a drink line from my camelbak that froze almost immediately, and adjusting to my first and newly bought snowshoes. In the end, I walked away with an image I loved. (Shot in HDR)
