Female Javan sunbird (Aethopyga mystacalis), pecking flower in Kiskendo Cave compound. Like many other sunbirds, this species is protected despite its large population and distribution in Java. Sunbirds are protected for its role in pollinating flowers which is key in agriculture and food production.
