Harpooner
Anhinga are amazing fishers, doing so entirely underwater. They use their powerful long neck to thrust their harpoon-like bill and spear their prey. They then surface to flip the fish in the air, and down the hatch it goes. Their lack of oil glands for preening helps to make them less buoyant for diving but requires them to air dry for easy flight. I was able to photograph this male while he was drying.
