transitioning from the Blue Ridge Parkway into the Great Smokey Mountains I came upon this traffic jam: a herd of elk had partially crossed the road, but the bull felt compelled to deal with the young bucks of his group rather than follow his girls, so a park ranger used his pick-up truck to shoe the bull across the road; he didn't like it , mouthed off and started to challenge and charge the p/u-truck until the ranger decided to diffuse by just leaving the scene - quite the interesting pic comp
