Wildlife seems to follow generally predictable patterns around the world. Animals are most active in the early morning and evening hours, and tend to be much more sedate throughout the day. This was certainly true of the lions that I saw while in Africa. If I ever chanced to see any in the middle of the day, they were almost guaranteed to be sleeping. So it was a pleasure to see these two actually wandering around as the sun rose on Masai Mara Nature Reserve, Kenya.
