Jong
An Indonesian fisherman in Bintan (Riau Islands Province) carries his jong out to sea for a trial run. An ancient maritime art form, jongs are miniature sailing boats moved by the wind. They range from 1.3 meters to 2 meters in length and were originally designed to carry food to the spirits. Today they are mainly competed against each other in racing competitions.
