Gaze
I had watched the iguana crawl out of the water by himself, his tail dragging along behind him, then he became still. He puffed water out of his nostrils. His scales glistened in the sun. The rest of the iguanas were scattered in large groups atop the rocks. The whole time his face had been profile and I hadn't gotten a good look at his mouth. Then he turned his cheek just slightly, showing his scaly iguana grin.
