The Green Tornado
A single 2.9sec exposure of a magical act of nature that occurred while driving down the ring road in the eastern part of Iceland, not far from Jokulsarlon. We were on the way back to the hotel when its started up, so I parked on the side of the road and set the tripod on the icy road. Luckily there wasn't much traffic as it was around midnight. We were amazed at the intensity which lit up the ground with the help of a bright full moon.
