Bhavana Celebrations
The world’s largest river run island of Majuli in Assam was the first establishment of “Satra” or “Neo-Vaishnavite” monastery in the 15th century. An air of tranquillity prevails at “Satras”, where dhoti clad monks, many of tender age lead a spiritual life, inhabiting tiny & austere quarters, performing traditional songs and dances, offering mellifluous “Bhavana” to gods.
