Got up to -20 F that morning, but loaded up and headed south to check out some new snow in the Collegiate Range of the Upper Arkansas River Basin. Also decided to continues on and take the back road to Santa Fe over Cumbres Pass and see some new country as well. On Cumbres Pass the scenery was just as spectacular; spent several hours hanging out before the sun started to go down and had to find a room for the night. Did some hiking where I could and enjoyed a spectacular winter day.
